Big Snit Boogie (2012)

This is a comic theater piece that involves an on-stage rivalry between the two pianists, composed when we had two extraordinary student pianists attending the FAC at the same time. Played in swing rhythm, no improv necessary. Various pauses in the music invite stage antics; ultimately the secundo player pushes the primo off the end of the bench, who then has to go to the other end and assume the secondo part. This piece will work best if memorized. $5 for score and demo; order here. You can watch an amusing performance here.
