Holiday Jazz (1993)

Moderate difficulty; individual pieces are 3-4 minutes. 11 traditional Yuletide melodies in jazz. The collection covers a wide variety of jazz and related styles. Titles include "We Wish You a Merry Tango," "Yeah, Joy" (ballad), “The Rest of the Gentlemen” (moderate swing), “The Halls Bedecked” (ballad with middle waltz section), "Somebody Jingled My Bells" (a varied intro, then moderate swing; includes a sleigh bells part for 2nd violin), “Cool King Wenceslas" (very hip, with meter changes), “Tannenbaum, Oh!” (in 5/4, with Take Five rhythm), “We Three Kings in 3 Be We" (waltz), “The Coventry Carol” (in slow 3/4), “Auld Lang Syne” (ballad in lush harmonization), and "Fiddlin' on the Housetop" (bluegrass).
